Port Arthur, Tasman National Park & Richmond
Take a jaw-dropping walk along Australia's highest sea cliffs before discovering the dark history of Port Arthur.
Heading south from Hobart to the Tasman Peninsula, you'll find Tasmania's coastline at its rugged finest, where the Southern Ocean has carved spectacular caves and arches into solid rock.
Your morning is spent walking 300-metre-high clifftops, pausing at lookouts to watch giant waves crash against dolerite spires. Highlights include Pirates Bay, Waterfall Bay, Tasman Arch and the famous Devils Kitchen.
At the UNESCO World Heritage Port Arthur Historic Site, impeccably preserved ruins offer a chilling glimpse into Tasmania's convict past. Spend four hours exploring this open-air museum, with a complimentary harbour cruise around the Isle of the Dead and fascinating site talks included.
Our last stop is Richmond, a historic village of stone buildings and Australia's oldest bridge.
We return to Hobart around 6.00PM.
